The violin is the smallest of the string family of instruments and therefore plays the highest notes.
Violins come in different sizes so even the smallest of players can comfortably and easily hold and play it.
Each child is "sized" or measured to find just the right size instrument for his/her/ stature.
Violin sizes are generally referred to as 1/4, 1/2, 3/4, and 4/4.
Here is a checklist of typical items you will need to get ready to play! Each
item already checked is included - at no charge - with your rental

teacher for any additional items he or she suggests:

a music stand
Some things to remember:
Please keep your instrument in its case when not in use.
Please do not let anyone else play your instrument.
Remember, practice is an essential part of playing an instrument.
Give it your best, and you will be amazed how rapidly you progress!
